About
About myself:
My name is Christian Schaefer born in 1976 and am developing websites and other stuff since 1998.
About prototyp.ical.ly:
As I suspect every developer is developing small prototypes and proof-of-concept type of scripts, so am I. So far I’ve done these in several places, on my local machine at work or at home or on somebody elses computer, on one of my webaccounts or on some server of my employers, whatever was at hand. The propblem with this method of course is that once you’ve done it you soon forget about it. And so your code lives an unfulfilled life somewhere nobody can benefit from it including you. Because of course you also forget about the code itself. Surely not entirely but be sure you forgot exactly the one little detail that sometime later you desperately need to know.
So I decided to create this page to allow other - first and foremost myself - to benefit from prototypes I’ve written. I chose the format of a blog because it fits my needs best.
I do not guaranty my code to be correct, unique or original in itself and I try my best to give credit to the people I’ve got my ideas or even bits of code from. Feel free to copy, use and modify any of my code you find useful just please try to give as much credit to its originators (such as myself) as I did, thank you.
